How do I know if my cavity wall insulation has failed?

Common signs include cold or damp patches on internal walls, black mould near external walls, higher heating bills and visible staining. A borescope and thermal imaging survey confirms whether the cavity is bridged, wet or partially filled.

Why do lenders and insurers flag spray foam in the loft?

Many spray foams trap moisture against the timbers, hide defects and block ventilation. That makes it hard for surveyors to inspect the roof structure, which is why most high-street lenders now require its removal before offering a mortgage.

How much does a survey cost?

Our diagnostic home surveys are free and no-obligation. We use borescope, thermal imaging and moisture readings, then send you a written report explaining exactly what we found and what (if anything) we recommend.

How long does insulation removal or a top-up take?

Most cavity extractions and loft top-ups are completed in one or two days. Full spray foam removals typically take two to four days depending on the roof size, access and the type of foam.
