ProPerla Weatherproof Masonry Coating

ProPerla is a fully breathable, hydrophobic coating for brick, stone and render that stops driving rain soaking into your walls - while still letting the masonry breathe out. The result is a drier, warmer, better-looking home and a 25 year guarantee against water penetration.

Overview

Why weatherproof your masonry?

Wind-driven rain is the single biggest cause of damp, cold walls and blown render in the UK. Once water gets into brick, stone or sand-cement render it fills the pores, kills thermal performance and freezes in winter - which is what causes spalling, cracking and internal damp patches.

ProPerla soaks a few millimetres into the substrate and lines every pore with a hydrophobic (water-repelling) layer. Water beads and runs straight off, but water vapour from inside the house passes through freely, so walls stay dry from both sides. A dry wall is a warmer wall - independent testing shows up to a 21% reduction in heat loss through treated masonry.

It's suitable for painted or unpainted brick, stone, pebbledash, sand-cement and modern render systems. Available as a clear impregnation cream on natural brick and stone, or as a bright white or coloured facade coating for rendered and previously painted homes.

Our process

How a ProPerla project runs

01

Survey & moisture check

We inspect the elevations, note substrate type, check moisture readings and confirm ProPerla is the right product for your walls.

02

Prep & repairs

Walls are cleaned down, biocide-treated if needed, and any cracks, spalled bricks or render defects are made good before coating.

03

ProPerla application

Two coats sprayed or rolled on in dry conditions - clear cream on natural brick and stone, or coloured facade coating on render.

04

Final check & guarantee

Walls checked for coverage and finish, site cleared, and your 25 year written guarantee handed over.
