Superfoil Multi-Layer Insulation

A slim, breathable, high-performance alternative to bulky quilt. Superfoil is ideal for pitched roofs, room-in-roof conversions and lofts where headroom or ventilation is at a premium.

Overview

High performance in a slim, breathable build-up

Superfoil is a multi-layer foil insulation system made up of reflective foils bonded to insulation wadding. It works by combining conductive insulation with radiant heat reflection, giving strong thermal performance in a much slimmer profile than mineral wool.

We fit it most often to the underside of rafters, room-in-roof conversions and after spray foam removal, where a breathable, low-profile solution preserves headroom and lets the roof timbers ventilate properly.

Every install is taped and lapped to manufacturer spec so the vapour control layer is continuous. That keeps the thermal performance high and stops interstitial condensation forming behind the insulation.

Why homeowners choose Superfoil after a strip-out

  • Slim profile - keeps loft headroom
  • Breathable install with proper ventilation gap
  • Ideal after spray foam removal
  • Reflective and conductive insulation combined
  • Fully taped and lapped to manufacturer spec
  • Suitable for lofts, room-in-roof and outbuildings

Our process

How a Superfoil install goes in

01

Roof assessment

We check rafter depth, existing ventilation and any prior insulation before recommending a spec.

02

Prep & batten

Timbers are cleared, counter-battens fitted where needed and a ventilation gap set out to the tiles.

03

Foil installation

Superfoil is fitted, taped and lapped continuously so the vapour control layer stays sealed.

04

Finish & sign-off

Battens, plasterboard or plywood added as required. Photo report of the installed layer issued.
